Superman....

We had some GOOD times with the beanbag and grandpa. The pics say it all.

Funny Boy

This picture of Strider totally cracks me up! Gotta Love it.

Bye Bye Curls...

Hello Big Boy!!

Strider got his first haircut. One day I just decided to cut it. Weird huh? Anyways, he looks SO much older now. He really is growing up so much. Where is my baby going?

15 months and going strong

My baby is already 15 months old :(. Strider had his well-check yesterday and he is still holding his own. Here are his stats:
weight: 29 lbs - 96%
height: 32.75 inches - 95%
head: 18.5 inches - 53%

He is super healthy and doing great. Seriously, I am still quite enamored by this boy. He makes me smile so much. He is a BIG MAMA's boy. He loves me, what can I say. That's okay because I still like him too (most the time). He loves to help lately. He LOVES to pick up toys and he absolutely adores Taegen and Kyler. He can hold his own when he wrestles and plays with his brothers. He really is so sweet. He has been fully walking for about a month now. He loves to feed himself and he also loves to imitate T & K. If they laugh, he laughs. If they throw food, he throws food. He thinks he is really fun. He says "Ya" to anything that he wants. He signs more and please. When he signs he smiles HUGE because he is so proud of his accomplishment of actually getting what he is asking for. He says "dink" (drink), mama, dada, tata (taegen), er (kyler), he folds his arms when we pray and he throws his arms up and says "men" amen when he's done praying. He really is a keeper.

Say Cheese.

I LOVE our new family photo. I love Taegen's cheese because this is totally how he smiles with super squinty eyes. Totally Taegen. Then there is Kyler who has just pulled his hands away from his face playing peek-a-boo with the photographer. This also explains why Taegen's head is popping out to say peek-a-boo. Strider is just SO cute with his little grin and dimple. Notice how I had to hold his hands down because he too was playing peek-a-boo. Ryan just looks like a freaking, super hot daddy/husband. I, don't look too bad, if I say so myself. So all in all, a GREAT photo.

Just keep trying...Just keep trying...

Strider is SO close to walking. He can actually walk across the room. He is definitely a little wobbly but he is really trying hard to walk. He stands up in the center of the room without holding on to anything and just smiles until somebody notices him and then he starts clapping. He is so cute and he gets SO proud of himself when he walks even a few steps. Love this boy.

Strider's Birthday Part 2

First came the presents. The neighbors came over to help celebrate. We purposely didn't really invite them until like 2 hours before so they wouldn't get Strider a gift. Well, it didn't work. They got Strider a gift and Taegen and Kyler little presents too. So nice. Thanks Powells!!
Matthew, Taegen and Kyler opened the presents and Strider just played with them. Then came the cake...Strider did not disappoint. He got cake EVERYWHERE. He loved it. He was eating it like crazy and laughing and throwing it. It was awesome. Loved it!Me and my clean birthday boy! Love this little chubba lubba!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

I can't believe my baby is 1 year old. I absolutely adore and love this boy to pieces.
  • He makes me smile ALL the time.
  • He is so independent. He wants to feed himself with utensils.
  • He has to be held on my left hip with my left arm. If I try to support him with my right arm, he pushes it away. If I switch him to my right hip, he squirms until I switch him back to the left.
  • He LOVES kisses. Whenever you ask for a kiss he leans with his whole body and a mouth wide open.
  • He loves to snuggle, especially when tired.
  • He loves his mama as much as she loves him.
  • He always tries to be like his brothers. If they laugh, he laughs. If they scream, he screams. He imitates them all the time.
  • He reminds me of my Grandma Millard. Good ole' Melba. He does this smile where he squinches his eyes like she used to always do.
  • He puts up with Kyler laying on top of him and wrestling him (of course they weigh the same)
  • Every morning he wakes up with a HUGE smile - dimple and all.
  • He gets excited with his whole body. When he's happy...you know it.
  • He is an explorer.
  • He is a freakin' speed crawler.
  • He is HAPPY and he makes everyone around him happy.
  • He is known as Baby. Taegen and Kyler only refer to him as Baby.
  • He LOVES his binky.
  • He is MY LITTLE BABY BOY WHO I AM MADLY IN LOVE WITH.

Winterizing

Strider and I were winterizing today. It's turned a little chilly so I thought it would be a good time to see if Strider had any winter clothes that would fit him. I opened up the tubs and wah lah....
I think Strider has enough clothes to make it through winter. Oh, the benefits of having twin older brothers are endless. That HUGE pile of clothes that Strider is playing on is ALL winter clothes for him. Now I just need to wash them and Strider is GOOD to Go!! Seriously, don't you think he is so freakin' cute. He is really into everything lately...and I mean everything. But he is still SO cute and happy and smiley (even if he's sick). He's such a GREAT baby that's growing up so fast. He's almost a year ya know? Isn't that crazy! My BABY BABY boy is almost a year. Darn.

Kyler the 2nd

My boys' LOVE rice. Which is a good thing except...it's so freakin' messy. Kyler gets rice EVERYWHERE. Seriously, everywhere. Now, Strider is following in Kyler's footsteps. He loves rice too and gets it everywhere as well. Oh well.

Can anybody guess what Strider found.....?
I got some free samples in the mail and before I could put them away Strider had found them on the floor. I moved them 3 times but he kept finding them. Finally, I gave in and let him have them. Don't worry - I took the actually item out of the applicator.

Strider's FAVORITE thing to do...

He LOVES to take out all the movies. I have moved the movie holder thing 3 times in hopes that he won't find it. He does.

9 (10) month check-up

Strider had his 9 month check-up (although he was really 10 months). I'm a little sad to say that he has dropped of the 99.9% mark for his weight. So sad :( Here are the new stats:

weight: 26 lbs 3 oz - 96%
height: 30.5 inches - 93%
head: 18.12 - 60%

So I'd say he's pretty proportioned. He also had another ear infection at his appointment. That makes like 7 in his 10 months of life so...he gets to have tubes. I must be a great mom - 3 for 3 on the tubes. He is eating all table foods no more baby food for this little chubbalubba. He LOVES his bottle still but he only get 2 and sometimes 3 bottles a day. He's learning how to use a sippy cup. He adores his brothers and always wants to play with them. He is such a happy baby. He smiles all the time except when he's sick. He loves to shake his head and then you shake your head and then he shakes his head...anyways, you get the picture. He thinks his hilarious. He also loves clapping and peek-a-boo. He now puts himself to sleep. I just lay him in his crib and he babbles for a little bit and then he falls asleep. It's great!

Anyways, here's a picture of my little baby boy. He doesn't feel very well.

but don't worry...Mommy can fix ANYTHING!

I've got a climber...

My baby is getting SO big... Don't you LOVE the grin!! I LOVE IT and him too!A few weeks ago Strider figured out how to climb up the slide we have in our front room. Which is all fine and dandy...except once he gets to the top there is a little ledge thingy. Don't worry...after he fell a few times I out-smarted the 9 month old and put cushions at the bottom so he can fall all he wants without injuring himself. I know...I'm super mom!

Lederhosen

My girlfriend is pretty much as in love with Strider as I am. Well...not really, but she LOVES his fat rolls too. Her husband was born in Germany and so for a few weeks she has really been wanting to put Strider in his lederhosen. Finally, we did it...and the result was absolutely WONDERFUL! Seriously, don't you just want to eat him. How cute is he? I love the squishy boobs and the chunky knees. Love Love Love it! In case your wondering, I'm still completely obsessed with Strider and all his rolls and everything. He makes me smile. I wish my rolls and everything were as cute and lovable as his.

Indulge my obsession

Seriously, isn't he the cutest thing ever. Strider has become quite mobile. He started crawling when we were in Utah. Taegen started crawling when my parents were visiting in Indiana so my family must have some great crawling vibes or something. He crawls all over now and gets into EVERYTHING. If my house wasn't clean before....it still isn't. He gets into literally everything and he puts everything in his mouth. I've had to vacuum a lot lately. He LOVES blocks. We have a little block table and he sits and plays with it for a long time. He absolutely LOVES yogurt and will not eat anything but Yogurt for breakfast. If I get fruit out he throws a fit until I get yogurt and then he just laughs and shakes his whole body with excitement. It's really quite funny. I don't even know if yogurt is good for kids his age but he finds great enjoyment out of it. He also does not want to be fed much (except yogurt). He wants to feed himself. He is now eating pretty much whatever we are eating. If you try to feed him he hits the spoon so you just have to break it up and put it on his tray and he feeds himself. I think I might have a stubborn, independent one on my hands. He has incredibly blue eyes that are so pretty and LONG, curly eyelashes. He has golden blond hair. Everyone comments on his hair and his eyelashes. He wears 18 - 2T clothes. Some 18 months clothes fit and others don't. He and Kyler can get away wearing the same thing (most the time). He is so fun and cute. He squishes his eyes when he smiles. It reminds me of my Grandma Millard - she use to always squish her eyes at you in a fun sort of way.

Isn't he most precious? I love, adore my baby boy!
